Ulster Bank Baggot St

The front and side elevation are composed of Granite ashlar with Portland stone window and door surrounds. The Granite and Portland was cleaned using the Remmers Intachem range of products in conjunction with a steam wash.

St Patrick Cathedral

The Limestone façade was cleaned using a low-pressure nebulous spray system. This involves setting up very fine nozzles at intervals along the area to be cleaned, which are plumbed in to a pump and timer which gives a very fine intermittent spray which serves to remove any build up of carbon / gypsum staining, whilst avoiding over saturation of the stonework.

Shelton Abbey Arklow

The Granite façade was cleaned using the Remmers Intachem range of products, in conjunction with a steam wash.

City Hall Dublin

The front and two side elevations are composed of Portland Stone, which were very heavily soiled. All of the Portland stone was cleaned using the Remmers Intachem range of products in conjunction with a steam wash. The cleaned façade was then treated with a suitable water-repellent, also supplied by Remmers. Several months after the building was cleaned, there was found to be a problem with birds roosting in The Corinthian Capitals and defecating over the stonework. A number of bird deterrent products were tested, but the most suitable proved to be a netting system, which we fitted to all The Corinthian Capitals, using a Portland coloured net and stainless steel fittings, which is fairly invisible from the ground.

The Pepper Canister

The Portland Stone Bell Tower had very heavy ferrous staining from the copper roof above. This had turned the stonework a deep green colour. This was removed using a specialist poultice supplied by Tensid Ltd. The Portland Stone Portico was cleaned using the Remmers Intachem range of products, and the two Limestone side elevations were cleaned using our nebulous spray system.

Christchurch Cathedral

This very decorative stone door surround was cleaned using Tensid products in conjunction with a low-pressure steam wash. The level of ornate carvings were hidden under decades of dirt, which, when exposed are a joy to behold.

Carton House

The Limestone was cleaned using a specialist Biocide treatment in conjunction with a steam wash and the Portland Stone was cleaned using the Remmers Intachem range of products.

Academy Building

The Granite front elevation was cleaned using our specialist chalk abrasive system. This involves a working pressure of typically 5 – 10 psi with a very soft chalk as the abrasive medium.
